Learning should feel like progress, not administration.

A workplace learning platform needed depth for administrators without passing that complexity to learners.

UI/UX and product designer

Period

2020–2021

01

What was happening

The visible interface was not the whole problem.

Learners needed a simple path. Administrators needed content control, competency tracking and visibility. Designing both sides with the same priorities would have weakened both experiences.

The thing I noticed

Simple for the user does not mean simple underneath. It means the hard work happened before the screen reached them.
02

What I changed

Three decisions shaped the work.

  1. 01

I separated learning from managing learning.

  2. 02

Learners saw a clear path, short actions and visible progress.

  3. 03

Administrators received the structure required to create, organise and understand the learning behind that simple front end.

03

What became easier

Less hesitation. More confident action.

The learner experience stayed focused while the operational side retained the depth the business needed.
